Your Guests and photographers will have an excellent vantage point with the natural beauty of Maui making a splendid backdrop for your wedding. We can help you choose a minister of your religion or you could have the Captain marry you himself.

Captain Peter Wood is a non denominational legally ordained minister in the State of Hawaii who will be happy to pronounce you "Husband & Wife". For Couples who have chosen a more traditional wedding, the yacht "Shangri-La" is an excellent location to host a wedding rehearsal dinner or reception.

Shangri-La Maui Wedding Options

The ShangriLa is the perfect location for a intimate and romantic wedding ceremony with up to forty nine guests. We will be pleased to assist with arranging and coordinating the services of professional photographers, ministers, florists, caterers, Hawaiian musician and custom wedding cakes. As part of our service Champagne or Fine Wines can be added to our extensive open bar upon request.

Shangri-La Wedding - Four Hours with Ceremony, Dinner Service and Cake/Champagne Toast
Start your special day with cocktail service & appetizers while the Shangri-La motors to the calm protected 'Honolua Bay Marine Sanctuary. Once the yacht is anchored the minister performs your ceremony on the bow, where your family and friends are gathered to witness. Followed by Dinner Service on the aft deck. After dining, the Captain and Crew raise sail. While gently gliding downwind the Wedding Cake is served with a champagne toast. Watch the sun setting on the water, before disembarking at Kaanapali Beach. Perfection!

Wedding Reception - Three hours with open bar Dinner Menu/Wedding Cake and Champagne Toast
Designed for after your Wedding on the Beach or at a Church with shorter sail time and more emphasis on anchoring in scenic Lahaina Town at Sunset Time for Fine Dining and Wedding Cake with Champagne Toast. Much more fun than a stuffy indoor banquet room, not to mention less expensive.

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Sail - Three hours with w/Dinner Service
Starting with a one and a half hour sail on the Trade Winds with Appetizers Served, followed by anchoring in Scenic Lahaina Town at Sunset, Time for Fine Dining and Dessert/Coffee Service. An intimate setting to visit with your family and friends and prepare for the big day ahead.

Wedding Rehearsal Snorkel Sail w/Dinner Service
This is a popular choice for couples who love the outdoors and want a more active wedding event. A late afternoon departure, with Appetizers served in route to the Snorkel Site, where you can jump into the warm tropical water to snorkel with colorful reef fish and green sea turtles. Then early Dinner Service at the Snorkel Site, followed by Captain & Crew raising sail and sailing downwind along the West Maui coastline. Dessert and Coffee Service as the Sunset Sets off of Kaanapali. This combines snorkeling, Dinner Service and a Sunset Sail into one beautiful event.

Wedding Rehearsal Sunset Cocktail Sail - Two hours with Appetizers and Open Bar
A more informal, casual and relaxed pre wedding event, where you can visit with your family and friends. Everyone will enjoy sailing on our fabulous yacht.
